Clinical Supervision
Professional supervision is an important space for growth, accountability, reflection, and ethical practice. It gives counsellors, therapists, interns, and helping professionals a structured opportunity to reflect on their work, strengthen clinical judgment, process difficult cases, and grow in confidence as practitioners.
At Intentional Therapy & Counselling Services, we provide warm, professional, and reflective supervision grounded in systemic, trauma-informed, attachment-based, culturally sensitive, and ethical practice. Supervision is not therapy — it is a professional development space focused on your work with clients and your growth as a practitioner.

What Happens in Supervision
Supervision sessions provide a structured space to discuss client work, reflect on professional challenges, and strengthen therapeutic skills. Supervision is collaborative, respectful, and growth-focused. The process may include:
Reviewing current cases and client concerns
Exploring clinical themes and relationship patterns
Reflecting on the therapist's emotional responses
Identifying ethical and boundary issues
Strengthening assessment and case formulation
Supporting the supervisee's growth, confidence, and professional identity
Expected Outcomes
Strengthen clinical confidence
Improve case conceptualisation
Practise with stronger ethical awareness
Reduce professional isolation
Prevent burnout and compassion fatigue
Offer safer and more effective support to clients
Supervision does not remove professional responsibility from the practitioner. Instead, it supports responsible, ethical, and reflective practice.
Supervision Format & Session Length
Supervision may be offered as individual supervision, group supervision, case consultation, practicum or internship support, couples and family case supervision, or faith-sensitive counselling supervision.
Individual supervision is usually 60 minutes, while group supervision or case consultation sessions may be longer depending on the number of participants. Where supervision is required for academic, practicum, internship, licensing, or professional registration purposes, supervisees are encouraged to confirm the specific requirements with their training institution, professional body, or regulatory board.
